‘Distress Signal’ is a top-down shooter set in a science fiction setting. The player must go through each of the two levels, firstly activating the shuttle at the end of the first level which then takes them to the final level. Both areas include a mix of enemy classes which complement each other’s ranged and melee capabilities. Each area also includes a number of temporary pickup abilities as well as varying weapon types
